Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Violet (nee Kropf) Moores for 68 years. Loving father of Paul and his wife Chris, Donnie and his wife Bev, Joseph and his wife Vicky and Stephen.
Dear grandfather of Talitha (Dennis), Amanda (Rick), Stacey (Jeremy), Jen (Tim), Andrew, Charis (Darryl), Beth and Steve and the late Kimberly. Donald will also be remembered and missed by 12 great-grandchildren.
Dear brother of Victor (Eva) and Cecil (Millie). Predeceased by his sister Hazel McGibbon and brothers Fred, Harold, Louis, Bill and Gerry.
Donald retired from B.F. Goodrich after 37 years of service.
Cremation has taken place.
Donald's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. The memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Northside Community Church, 55 Leonard St., Kitchener followed by a reception.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Operation Christmas Child or M.C.C. would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
