Kupres, Josip (Joseph);

Peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness with his family by his side, on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at Sunnyside Home at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of the late Ana (Vrbanac) (2005) and also predeceased by his parents, and brothers Branko and Stjepan Kupres.

Josip will be missed by his sisters Katica Krecak (Petar), and Marija Zaborski (Jura Frigula), both of Kitchener. Survived by his sister Barbara Cosic and brothers, Petar and Ivan Kupres, all of Croatia. Lovingly remembered by brother-in law Vlado Vrbanac, nephew Michael Zaborski (Irene), niece Visnja Zaborski-Breton (Pat), and niece Diana Biuk (Alan), and their families. Loved by many nieces and nephews in Croatia.

Josip was a long time employee of Hanson Pipe, member of Holy Family Croatian Church, and member of the Croatian Club in Breslau.

Josip's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 749-8467 on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Holy Rosary being recited at 8 p.m.

Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, 2017 followed by procession to Holy Family Croatian Church (180 Schweitzer St., Kitchener) for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. with Father Miro Grubisic O.F.M. officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception the Croatian Club, 2006 Shantz Station Rd. Breslau.

As expressions of sympathy donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
