Clifford Norman  Beckley
Beckley, Clifford Norman:
Passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 93.
Beloved husband for 55 years to the late Mary Elizabeth (nee: Blair).
Loving Dad to the late Arlene Jenkins, Glenda (Doug) Lisso and Noreen (John) Grainger.
Cherished Poppa to Barbie, Kim, Bradley, Jenny, Katherine, Shannon and Lindsay and great Poppa to 11 great- grandchildren.
Predeceased by his siblings Robert, William, Lillian, Emma and Daisy.
Clifford was a long time employee of Christie's Bread for many years, where he started "greasing pans" on the bakery line and worked his way up to vice president of production and engineering.
He served in the war from 1942-1945 with the Irish Regiment in the Italian Campaign, where he was wounded twice but continued to fight.
Clifford was an avid bridge and poker player, golfer and reader. He also enjoyed his visits to the casino.
Cremation has taken place.
As per his wishes a private family gathering will take place at a later date.
Special thanks to Dr. Day and nurses Nicole and Sheila for all their kindness and care given to Clifford.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Red Cross or The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the Henry Walser funeral home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener).
