Died suddenly as a result of an accident at his workplace on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Simmons) for 11 years and their furry companion Riley.

Dear son of Jack and the late Eleanor Horn (2002). Dear brother of Terri Krueger (John), Bev Struthers and the late Patti Kroeger (2015). Remembered by his brother-in-law Ray Kroeger.

Joe will be missed and remembered by his in-laws Bob Simmons (Linda), Woody Simmons (Nancy), Joanne Mitchell (Bob) and the late Peggy Lilliman (2016). Remembered by his brother-in-law Cliff Lilliman.

Survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Joe will be missed and remembered by best friends Karen and Glen McKittrick.

Joe was an ardent N.H.L Boston Bruins hockey fan. He coached hockey in Hespeler in his twenties. Family and friends meant everything to Joe. He loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting and spending time helping on the McKittrick farm.

Joe's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 11 am -12:45 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Joe's life will be celebrated at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 13th in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception.

Cremation to follow with interment in the family plot at Elma Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
