Obituary for Muriel Booth (King)

Booth, Muriel (nee King):
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at the age of 98.
Born in Nottingham, England, Muriel was the beloved wife of the late John Booth, loving mother of David Booth (Carol) and Richard Booth (Suzanne) and was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers. Much loved grandmother to Samantha, Jason, Omar and Xavier, great grandmother to Mia, Colby and Spencer and fondly remembered by extended relatives both locally and in England.
A true testament to keeping your mind and body going to the fullest, Muriel enjoyed a terrific life filled with family, friends, gardening, swimming, reading and the theatre. Muriel was a devoted employee of the Mayor's Office in the City of Kitchener for over twenty years and her interest in politics never waned. Known for her passion and commitment to many community organizations, Muriel was also a long-time volunteer in the Grand River Hospital gift shop.
A celebration of Muriel's life for family and friends will take place on January 20, 2018 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, with interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener in the spring. Cremation has taken place.
