I had the privilege of knowing Ruth since I was 7 years old when the Otto family moved behind my home in Port Hope. Helmut and Ruth were generous, welcoming, kind people. Ruth's life revolved around her family and she loved being a mother to Ken and Theresa. She treated me like a second daughter and I am a better person for knowing her. I will miss her deeply.
