Obituary for Helmut Otto Fritz Niemann
Niemann, Helmut:
Passed away suddenly on Monday, February 12th, 2018 at his home at the age of 97. Beloved husband of Helga for 64 years. Loving Dad to Barbara. Cherished Opa to Melissa (Tyler) and Caitlin and great-Opa to Joshua, Jaxon and Lincoln.
Helmut was a dedicated electrician working mostly in Toronto. His faith and family were very important to him. His greatest hobby was woodcarving belonging to Owl's Nest Woodcarving Club in Kitchener/Waterloo as well as the Woodcarvers club in Barrie. He received many ribbons from competitions in both cities.
Memorial service for Helmut will be held on Friday, February 16th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Friends are then invited for a reception at the funeral home immediately following the service. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation - Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
