Gabel, John:
Surrounded by his family, John passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 91.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Marie (nee Luft). Loving father of Larry (Lori) Gabel and Linda Hagen (Don Fitzsimmons). Cherished grandpa of Loren and Amanda and great-grandpa of Jaxton and Jordyn. Brother of the late Earl Gabel (Alice).
John's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Rev. Nolan Astley officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
A special thank you for the care given to John by the Grand River Hospital and the.3rd Floor Palliative Care Nurses at Freeport.
