Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, February, 17th, 2018.
Beloved husband of Maria Luz. Loving Papa to Chris (Elaine), Joseph Edwin Jr. (Khristine), PJ (Kat), Marvin, Angel. Cherished Lolo to Gyan, Yuri, Jacob,Kealani and Joseph Edwin Makaio III. He will be missed by his brothers Edgar (Eleanor), Vincent, Edmond (Evelyn), sister Marlyn (Flor) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Vicente and Catalina and his granddaughter Leia.
Edwin's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 with BLD Novena Prayers at 3:00 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 11 Traynor Ave. Kitchener, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Private Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
