With family at his side, Jim slipped quietly from this world on Monday, March 5. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Smiley) Troyak for 55 years.

Loving father of Jim Troyak, Chris Troyak (Maria) and Marg Gloade (Curtis).

Dear grandpa to Isaac and Alexis Troyak, Stephanie and Rebecca Troyak, Ella and Emmett Gloade.

Predeceased by his parents Anna and Stephen Troyak and his brother John (Jack).

Jim's family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday and will continue from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. on Friday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. The liturgy service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place.

Jim and his family wish to thank the extraordinary people at St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand River Hospital and the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre for the exceptional care and support through his battle. We are also tremendously grateful for the end of life care provided by the dedicated staff and volunteers at the Innisfree hospice.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Innisfree House would be greatly appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
