Rule, John Howard
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of Sheila (nee Crawford) for over 52 years. Loving father of John Rule and Karen Baird (Jan). Proud Grandpa of Eden. Dear brother of Patti Wodak (Michael), Geri Coles, Judy Ferns (Gerry) and the late Margaret Rule. John was active for 30 years in the credit union movement in Ontario and was a longtime member of the United Church of Canada.
John's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The Memorial Service will be held at Parkminster United Church, 275 Erb St. E., Waterloo on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 7 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lisaard House, Parkminster United Church (Refugee Fund) or Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
