OEUN BOU

Oeun Bou, age 56, passed away Thursday (March 22, 2018) at Grand River Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Sarorn Meas.

Oeun was born in Angtasom, Takeo, Cambodia on August 20, 1961. She was the daughter of Mao Bou and Tran Prum. Oeun was united in marriage to Sarorn in Decemeber 1979. Oeun and Sarorn immigrated to Canada in May 1986 to start a new life in Kitchener, Ontario. Besides her husband, Oeun is survived by her daughter Sovann Meas, sons Dararith Meas and Andrew Meas, and son-in-law Troy Chak.

Oeun was an amazing, incredible person. She had a passion for cooking, sharing and simply spending time with her family and friends. As often as she loved to travel back to Cambodia her homeland, she always thought of Canada as her home.

Oeun's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Thursday (March 29th) and 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday (March 30th) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario (519-749-8467).

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday (March 31st) at 9:30 a.m., followed by a reception and final procession to Williamsburg Crematorium, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd, Kitchener, Ontario.
