Maurer, (nee Eberhardt), Elizabeth "Liz":

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Maurer in her 91st year, on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She died peacefully with family by her side at People Care A.R. Goudie.
Loving wife of the late Charles J. Maurer (1999).
Dear mother of Michael and his wife, Lucie Tremblay of Inverary and Timothy and his wife, Susan of Kitchener.
Proud grandmother of Jesse of Drummondville, Quebec, Phillip of Peterborough and Benjamin of Kitchener.
Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Teresia Eberhardt.
Dearly missed by family and friends.

Betty, as she was known by many, worked for the Star and then for many years at the Motor Vehicle Licence office on Belmont Ave. She was a very active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she gave tirelessly of her time on many committees. She was also an active volunteer in her community, serving with the KW Y's Menettes, The Ladies Auxiliary of the RCAF Wing 404 and breakfast program, Food for Learning for KCI students.

She was an avid curler with the Glenbriar Curling Club, enjoyed cross country skiing, swing bowling, 5 pin bowling, traveling, and playing bridge.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment will take place at a later date. A very special thank you for the care and compassion given to her by the nurses and staff at People care A.R. Goudie, LHIN and Paramed. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener 519-749-8467.
