Hi my name is BarbaraLluecke. I am the niece of Onkel Fritz . He was my uncle and he is been a close part of my life. always He alway s gave me sound advice whether I wanted to hear or not. His main concern for me always was to find a job that would provode me with benefits, pension and resonable pay that would allow me to live a decent life. I went and visit onkel Fritz from time to time. I was doing homecare and I studied Social Work. Unfortunely my education could not provide the career I was looking for, since it was not enough to get the position what i was seeking
Onkel Fritz said to me it is wonderful that you are doing homecare and looking after people. this job will not provide for you when you get older and face it Barbara...you are not getting younger....lol It was not a stable job. he looked at me straight in the eye and said. you need to put social work on the cross and move on. You need to live better and this is not the life you should be living.. Onkel Fritz said to me it does not matter what you do as a living. he said it does not determine who you are as a person. Be independent find a solid job and save enough money for ememrgencies ahead.
Wilfrid Lauier was looking for 10 custodianes in 2003. Those were still good opportunities to find work. back than. In May 2003 I was hired full time as a custodian with Wilfrid Lauier. It was a happy day for me. Full time benefits a pension and union. When i went to Onkel Fritz and told him I was hired, he was so happy and hugged me tighly, of course the last word. I am so glad you listened to me. he was right. I have been employed with Lauier 15 years and very thankful onkel Fritz directed me in the right direction. I really love him and will miss him alot. thank you for letting me share me story, which changed me life.
Barbara Luecke
