The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Eduard Helfinger can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Ron and Christine West
Condolence: Ed has been a very special friend to us. This friendship, that has lasted over time and distance for the last 35 years has come to rest. The gap that separates now seems greater than the ocean between, but may not be as big as we think, until we meet again on higher ground.
Carolyn, Tante Lilly, Erica & families: We would like to express our deepest sympathies to you.
May our God of all comfort and peace help us to overcome the shock of Ed‘s sudden departure. May He turn our pain into an overwhelming gratitude for all that Ed has been for us, - done, - given us.

Viele liebe Grüße aus Deutschland
Ron & Christine

Condolence: My deepest sympathies for all of you. Because of distance, we didn't get to know Ed very well but he has always been an integral part of the greater "Richter clan". You are gone but will always be in our hearts.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people stay for awhile,
and move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to a new understanding,
leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same.

Condolence From: Ralph and Rita Meiszinger
Condolence: Carolyn (& Mackenzie), Erica & Larry (& "kids"), Mrs. Helfinger,
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ed's sudden death. Our deepest sympathies to each of you in the loss you are feeling now. We are praying for you to know God's peace and strength each day. How thankful we are for some great and fun memories to cherish even if they are for us from some time ago. We are most thankful for Ed's trust in Jesus and the assurance we have that he has been welcomed home by Him. We look forward to hopefully seeing all of you on Friday. Until then, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13). Ralph & Rita

Condolence: Please accept my deepest condolences. It’s always a painful tragedy to lose a loved one in death. It saddens us to think that we may never see our loved one’s smile again or hear their laughter again. But God has promised all of us that one day death will not exist and that we will see our dead loved ones again. Revelation 21:4 says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry. nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away." I hope that this brings your family a measure of solace during this difficult time.
