Lis, Tadeusz "Ted" (May 10, 1920 - April 13, 2018)
Passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Twin Oaks of Maryhill Nursing Home at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Sabina Lis. Loving father of Mark and his wife Cynthia, and Grace and her husband Roman Gajkowski. Loving grandfather of Suzanne and Phil Morgan, Gerry and Dyan Gajkowski, Tina and Andrzej Caruk, Dana and Alex Forrest, Anya and Nick Albrecht. Proud great-grandfather of Michael and David Morgan, Marissa and Justin Gajkowski, Quintin, Simone and Vivian Albrecht, and Myles Forrest. Predeceased by 5 brothers and one sister: Joseph, Stanley and Walter in Canada, and Michael, Jan and Veronica in Poland. Many thanks to the staff at Twin Oaks for their care and patience, with a special thanks to Tina who took such great care and concern for the welfare of her dziadzia.
Ted's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers 8 p.m. Tuesday. Prayers will also be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 9:20 a.m. followed by a procession to Sacred Heart RC Church, 66 Shanley St., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sacred Heart RC Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
