Passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Winston Park at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of Maria da Conceicao (da Silva). Loving father to Lourdres (Antonio), Manuel (Lourdes), Maria Rodriguez (and her late husband Juan- 2004), Eugenio (Luzia) and predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth (April 2010) (Josenildo). Dear Grandfather to Marcos (Aldina), Paulo (Gorgina), Elizabeth, Carlos (Deborah), Andrea (Gordon), Leo, Leandro, Cristiane, Prisilla and Natalia. Great-Grandfather to Alex, Andres, Matthew, Sophia and Gage. Dear brother to Cristina and Amelia. Jose is predeceased by his parents and his 3 brothers.

Jose’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4PM & 7-9PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers will be offered at 8PM on Tuesday evening. A funeral mass will take place at 10AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament RC Church. Father Wayne Lobsinger officiating. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

A special ‘thank-you’ to the staff at Winston Park for their support and to the communion ministers, Fr. Lobsinger and Fr. Tomon from Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church.
