Passed away at home on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 78.
Beloved husband of Margaret Heil-Pixner (married in 1960).
Loved father of Robin (Kornelia) Pixner of Waterloo and Greg (Treena) Pixner of Kitchener.
Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Jason, Jenna, Hunter, Hayden and Adrian.
Dear uncle of Ulrika (Gottfried), Karin, Heimo (Monika) and Elfie (Nicky).
Predeceased by his parents, Jakob and Maria, his twin brother Ernst, brothers Jakob and Peter, his sister Louisa, Maria "Mitzi" and nieces Karla, Bridget and Sylvia.
Hubert co-owned and operated H&H Roofing from 1976-1993. Famously known for Pixie's Sausage Chalet.
Cremation has taken place.
Hubert's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. Private interment will be held in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
