Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Maria Zai (nee Sellenkowitsch) for over 66 years. Loving father of Kathy (Troy Beecraft), Ted (Sybille) and John (Shelley). Proud "Ota" of Michael, Jason, Stephen, Jeffrey, Andrew and Christopher and loving great-grandfather.
Predeceased by sisters Suzie, Sophia and Katherine and by his brother George. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Mike's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Reception to follow at Henry Walser Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Mike's memorial.
