Passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Monday, February 6, 2017 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband A. G. (Tony) Yawney. Loving mother of Dave and Robert Yawney. Dear Grandma of Colleen (Steven Horn) and Heather (Steve). Great-grandmother of Sebastian and Valerie. Predeceased by her parents Henrietta and Herman Miller and by her sisters Monica, Jeannette and Kathleen (Kay). Doreen had an abundant energy which benefited her work as executive secretary for Ball Brothers Construction and her numerous volunteer & club activities. Doreen was a loyal parishioner at St. Mary’s RC Church. She was a proud contributor and member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 50 (Past President, Ladies Auxiliary), Branch 530 (Life Member), IBEW 804, and SOAR club.

Cremation has taken place.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467. A spring interment with her husband Tony will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530, 316 Marsland Drive, Waterloo on Friday Feb. 24th, 4 pm. Visit www.henrywalser.com for Doreen's memorial.
