The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Collins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

From me to Jim

I do not know when I met Jim for the first time but I knew him by name and reputation.I heard he buried the dog in the back garden, had hens in Cherryfield Road and I heard from a good source he had got a big piece of wood when he heard his sister laura had a new boyfriend "ME". I made sure I behaved properly. When I first met him I realized he could have a wicked sense of humour (my kind of person)  and so we got on great from that day onwards.I did'nt have that much contact as he was most of the time in Canada where he made a good life for hmself and family. He never forgot home and always spoke a bit of Irish when talking to him. Something I will never forget was his devotion to Rosa and I am sure they are right now having a giggle about the cigarettes and Rosa having a boyfriend always good for a bit aggro.

I will not forget either of you ever
