Obituary for Gloria Marie Williams (Fletcher)
Williams, Gloria nee Fletcher: Of Kitchener, ON in her 77th year. Passed away in her sleep on Friday, June 9, 2017.
Gloria was born in Britt, ON and moved to Kitchener in 1966. She married Douglas Williams in July, 1973. Together they enjoyed a life filled with family, travel, Kitchener Rangers hockey and service to various community organizations.
She is survived by her daughters Colette Wilson (Warrick), Rita Des Roches (Peter), Yvonne Newton (Gary) and grandchildren; Adam Mahn (Shannon), Aaron Mahn (Christine), Amy Case, Amanda Case, Lacey Newton, Devon Wilson, and Danica Wilson. She is also survived by brother, Gerald Fletcher (Elizabeth) sister, Barbara Farrow (Bill), five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug, her parents Oliver Fletcher and Eva Fletcher nee Romanuck and sisters Velma Utter and Mildred Stang.
Gloria's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church, 55 Driftwood Dr., Kitchener, Ontario, N2N 3A2 on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener ON.
