Mooney, Robert George "Bob" (May 17, 1939 - February 8, 2017)
On Wednesday February 8, peacefully with family by his side, this world lost a wonderful man. Bob Mooney was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and brother-in-law, and a treasured mate to many.
His thoughtfulness and genuine spirit enriched the lives of all he encountered. A great lover of music, he delighted in sharing his knowledge and vast jazz collection and so enjoyed festivals, concerts and live musical performance. He will always be remembered as an honest man, a loyal friend and a gentle soul. Bob's zest for life and caring way will never be forgotten. Missing him is Gail, his wife of 52 years, his daughters Shawna and Colleen, his sons-in-law Frank and Matthew, and his five grandchildren Joe, Jake, Kali, Matthew and Alexandra.
Think of him and smile, raise a Guinness in his honour, and know he lived a very good life, filled with so much love.
A private service has already taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the KW Granite Club, 99 Seagram Dr, Waterloo, Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, Bob's family would encourage a donation to his favourite charity - Food4Kids Waterloo Wellington (cards available at the funeral home). Please visit www.henrywalser.com to view Bob's memorial.
