"Our Uncle Paul"

For me, as I search through my memories of the past I realize what a predominent part of my childhood he was, not to mention Aunt Marge, who is an incredible woman, and then followed Carol and Sharon who are two very special women and we all became very close family's which intertwined with each others. I can see Uncle Paul's contagious laugh and the way he always bent his head down and then looked up from one side through a partially squinted eye, that was always confirmation that let you know he heard the joke or acknowledged the story after that he would finalize it with a kick at the ground and a little shake to the head. I can still see him so clearly. Uncle Paul in my eyes was always extremely kind and generous. He was a friend to my Mom, even though younger in age he always stood up for her like an older big brother would. That always made me feel safe as if he was maybe a brother protector for me too. He was loved and still is and returned it back in his own special ways which for this short note have too many tales attached to share here. I have a fondness and a softness in my heart as I visit the past memories. My sincere deepest sympathies to the entire family. But, we will all see him soon enough. Cheers Uncle Paul, enjoy your next journey, this past one was quite the story!! Love Colleen
