St. Mary's Cardiac Care & Rehabilitation

I met Doris at exercise classes. She was a delight. We had so many laughs together. She was a wonderful woman. We talked about food and restaurants and joked with each other. Mostly Bob would be waiting to pick her up at the end of classes. She gave me her special pumpkin pie recipe (made with banana squash from Neuman's) and her peach pie recipe too. That day I went for exercise and she wasn't there and they told me she had a stroke was a sad day. I thought of her often. I went to visit her at Freeport but I could sense her frustration in not being able to communicate well. I did not see her again and lost track of where she was and how she was doing. I thought about her a lot and then I saw her obituary in the paper. Rest in Peace Doris. I raise a toast to you among the angels.
