The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edward Robert Ervin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The Useless Trinket

That's what Bob said I had bought for a souvenir when I had the privilege of vacationing with Bob and Louise in Portugal just a couple weeks ago.  My little lighthouse wine cork. Useless, I can hear him say. "When you open a bottle of wine you finish it. Absolutely!"  he says. Little did I know that this useless trinket would be something I would treasure forever. See, it's not useless Bob! It's a little piece of you. A little memory to add with the other memories. Backyard get together's in the summer,  a glass of wine here and there, a drive by wave or an over the fence "Hello, whatcha doing? Wanna come for a swim?" Bob liked company, had a kind and generous heart and was always happy to see his neighbors. I'm grateful to have be one of them. 

I will hold this little trinket close to my heart, today and everyday.  R.I.P Bob!
