Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 77.

Beloved wife of Sam for 55 years.

Loving mother of Kathy Billings (Bob Guillemette), Jim De Haan (Sherry), Brenda Schlupp (Rick), Nancy Walls (Bob), Linda Seager (Keith Sisson). Loving grandmother of Melissa, Adam (Todd), Vicky (Chris), Justin, Steven (Kandice), Sommer, R.J. (Brit), Abby, Megan, Shannon, Kaitlynn, and Haley. Dear great-grandmother of Hunter, Brayden, Hannah, Christopher Jr., Jaydon, Maya, Avery Rose, Lexy, Kailub, Gavin, Joey, Juliet and Adalyn.

Dear sister of John Cunningham (Willa), Sharon Cunningham (the late Jim), Geraldine Cunningham (the late Billy), Muriel Bedrosian (the late Albert), Marion Mahoney (the late Mike), Olive Sartor (Guido), Lorraine Holmwood (the late Tom).

Dear sister-in-law of Anne Smeda (the late Ralph), Dorothy Olthoff (the late Henry) and Bill De Haan (Betty).

Jean is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Archibald and Margaret Cunningham and Sam's parents William and Gertrude De Haan, her sister Catherine Turner and her husband Bill and her brother Gib Cunningham.


Jean's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 3-4:45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 5 p.m. on Wednesday followed by a reception in the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hamilton Health Science - McMaster Childrens Hospital or The Childrens Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
