With heavy hearts we announce the passing of this wonderful man on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Anna Maria for almost 63 years. Loving Dad to Stella (Robert) Davey. Cherished Nonno to Tara (Michael) Braniff, Lisa (Adam) Hopp, and John (Victoria) Davey. Dearest Bis - Nonno to Noah, Nathan, Lacy, Tessa, Reid, Scarlett and Violet. Brother to the late Grazia (late Antonio) Saracino, the late Mario (late Agostina) and a twin brother Vittorio who died in infancy. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Pasqualina. Very special Uncle to Peter, Josie, Pino, Gino and Anna. Cherished friend of Ron and Marion.
Umberto's family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (parish prayers at 8:30 p.m.) on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Daniel Roman Catholic Church, 29 Midland Dr. Kitchener, on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Parish Life Centre.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation - Cardiac Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
