Birket Family

The saddened news has weighed very deeply on our hearts. The memories of moments our family shared with Scotty keep running thru our heads. We were looking forward to BBQ's this summer where Lucas and our Austin would swim and play together while we sampled Scotty's salt over a BBQ. Scotty was more than just a coworker/employee. Everyone who met Scotty instantly loved him. My father "Tico" who had the privilege of working with Scotty back in the day always asked about him when he came back every summer from the south. My brother "Christian" is also so saddened by the news as he remembers working with Scotty as is my uncle "Willy". My fondest memory of Scotty is the day we brought our third son "Austin" home from the hospital. He was only 4 days old and Scotty was at our house working away. He was in his filthy work clothes when i stepped outside with Austin in my arms and Scotty asked if he can hold him. Being a third time mom I said of course with no hesitation. Scotty's eyes filled with joy and tears as he remembered the day he held Lucas for the first time. Since that day I have a soft spot for Scotty. What a genuine, loving, caring man. He was a great Dad and Lucas was everything to him. I saw this not only with Lucas the times we were together but with the Photo Album he so proudly showed me he made for Maddie. Austin loved when he would play with both he and Lucas at corporate events. We will treasure the memories. That smile will live on forever in our hearts and ill enjoy the remaining salts we have and think of you smiling from above as my father Tico and Jonas turn red over the heated ones. We will miss you deeply! Our deepest sympathy to all.
