QUINN, Francis M. (Frank):
Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of the late Bette (nee Nolan) for 44 years.
Loving father of Susan Dean (Terry), Ed (Marilyn) and Mark.
Cherished grandfather of Ashley, Amanda, Melissa, and Eddie.
Son of the late Edward and Mary Quinn.
Predeceased by his sister Helen and brothers Ambrose, Edward, George, James and Vincent.
Frank was a lifetime member and usher of Sacred Heart R.C. Church and was a honourary lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1504.
He was the founder of The Millenium Project for Sacred Heart R.C Church, and a former board member and volunteer of Project Raise and St. Vincent De Paul.
After retiring in 1988 as a civil servant, Frank and Bette owned and operated a retail floral shop in Westmount Place.
Frank’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church (66 Shanley Street, Kitchener).
Officiated by Reverend Paul Zimmer (nephew of Frank).
A private family interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. A reception will follow.
