Deep Connection

Goodbye old friend, how do to you capture in words the deep connection you have with someone that spans over 4 decades. My fondest moments and memories are with Stephen and Joyce whether it be at the cottage, boating down the River, pool side or just playing cards at Randy's. It was always the simple things. Long live the Screaming Weasels the bowling team I talked him into, he only agreed because they served beer. He was pretty good too. Stephen had the ability to bring people together and opened his heart to everyone we were all drawn to him, his laugh, his puns, and interesting perspective. Family and friends were his true religion and his devotion to Joyce and Emily and Hilary was his top priority. I will miss our sparing about the education system and I hope he knew how much I respected his life long work as an educator following the footsteps of his parents yet another family legacy. During his illness he was a strong fighter never complained and started to rival Joyce with his culinary skills. The quotes : So much food so little time, when you say one thing and mean your mother, and Ratuki! It was so hard to see you fade away I hope you are at peace and reunited with Jenny, Jane and Bob and Wendell. Jim and I have a big hole in our hearts now, Stephen certainly left his mark on the world, my world, we miss you and will never forget all that you gave us. Love you and until our next life together. Sue
