Condolence: Mark was my manager at Waterloo Wellington Non Profit Homes in 1989-91. He was extremely generous in sharing his knowledge about co-op housing and in offering me exciting opportunities for learning and wise feedback on work challenges at that time. He was unassuming, thoughtful and kind. I am sorry he did not get much time to enjoy retirement, but I am pretty sure that he didn't regret a second that he spent supporting housing co-ops. His legacy is the stronger and more vibrant communities that will offer wonderful homes to people for years to come.

Condolence: Mark Paul has been a part of my co-op history for 30 years.: beginning in Pioneer Park, Kitchener when a community meeting was organized with the neighbourhood for the development of Country Hills Housing Co-operative; then as staff working in housing co-ops (one of them being Country Hills Co-op ).
Mark Paul was like the grandfather of co-ops in Central Ontario. Always trying to help co-ops learn more together and be better communities.
He will be remembered as a true co-op Champion.

Condolence: I was so saddened to hear the news about Mark. He made such a contribution to co-operative housing, from his work in co-op development in the early 1980s in BC to his support for co-op members and staff through COCHF in Ontario. He was a kind, gentle person with a good sense of humour. He will be missed.

Condolence: I met Mark when I worked at PH-CHF and he worked at COCHF. His approach to his work and the co-ops was filled with integrity, realism and humour. I always admired his dry sense of humour and his great turn of phrase. They got me smiling.

Condolence: The news of Mark's death last week was so shocking and upsetting. He was such a kind, smart and frank person. We shared a love of trains, some buses, and, of course, housing co-ops. Mark came into Toronto by bus last year, before I retired, to have a celebratory lunch. We promised to stay in touch, and my only regret is that I didn't see him again. You will be much missed, Mark.

Condolence: I've been learning more every day about the impact Mark had on the community, and I think it's just awesome. He was a dedicated volunteer and always offered a helping hand to ensure things came together. I will always remember him as a kind and gentle fellow that lived what he truly believed and shared what he could in so many ways. Rest in Peace Mark.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of meeting and working alongside Mark almost 15 years ago, when I worked for the People's Car Coop and he for COCHF. I was happy to see his familiar face, and had looked forward to working more closely with him when I joined Compass Kitchener in January.
Mark's contributions to the Kitchener community will be long remembered and his expertise sorely missed.
