The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Andre Bernier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Ann Van Norman

With our deepest sympathy for Fay, Maya, Myles and Morgan at this difficult time, We are struck with deep sorrow at the passing of a phenomenal man, husband, father, and our friend. Andre first touched Ann’s life 46 years ago when they worked with special children in a day camp setting. Ever since, as our connection changed, his patience, compassion and creativity has made an inspiring impact- a footprint on our hearts that will remain forever. He generously taught us woodturning and carving with an approach of a master teacher that guaranteed our success. Over the years our family has relied on his wonderful approach to life and craftsmanship. Generosity was his second nature in our regard. He gave his time, his knowledge, and his spirit without reservation. Andre’s contact expanded to our extended family, especially to Grandpa Wally, who was a kindred spirit. We cherish all of the tangible pieces of his work that enhance our home along side the memories of all the blissful personal interactions. The stories he related about each one of his deeply adored family remain enshrined as we remember this passionate man. We are blessed to have been touched by Andre. Ann, Alan, Sarah, Tom Van Norman. Laurine Ziegler.
