Early Tuesday my dad passed away peacefully. He finally met a hurdle that was too great to overcome. In a world that often seems crazy busy and complex, he remained a gentle soul, always positive and reflective, and never asking for assistance but always grateful when it was offered. He loved all people and was more interested in their thoughts and passions rather than sharing his own. That said, he could tell the greatest stories about his childhood, all the different jobs he had and of course everything that has happened at the cottage over the past 68 years. He was the greatest dad, the greatest grandpa to my kids and the ultimate father in law to Julie. He will be hugely missed, but we are so glad that he is at peace now. Thank you to all of our family and friends for your support.
